One of the nicest things about Village Mixes is the fact I get to make some deliveries of our products when time allows. Lately I have gone to Hackleboro Orchard in Canterbury, Appleview in Pittsfield, and Applecrest in Hampton Falls. Just think of this ….beautiful weather…cool and crisp, mums, fresh veggies, fruit laden trees, pumpkins, cider donuts …a wagon ride into the orchard…what could be better than this! I love to just sit there and take it all in. Hope to see everyone support their local farms/orchards……and take home some Village Mixes.
Visiting New Hampshire Orchards
September 22nd, 2010Fall is here!
September 4th, 2010We are SO busy now. Fall is our big season with our best seller…”APPLE CRISP MIX”. So easy and so good. MY family still loves me to make it especially on a cool fall night. I love to cook (especially sweets) and there is so little time but I do try to make time for this. I also try to make healthier choices and this dessert does fit that too. Have a good evening.
BUSY…..BUSY….BUSY
August 8th, 2010Ann, Nancy and I have all been working hard since the Fancy Food Show. Nancy and I went to a NASFT networking event at a local company…just to meet fellow business owners and discuss common problems . It was very informative and we felt like we got our questions answered. It is so stimulating to meet and talk to others who share your passion. There are so many giving people who just want to offer support. Then you go home and have a million ideas you want to put into place!!!! Oh what fun!!! As I always say….it’s not always about the money you may potentially make…it’s about the passion!!!
Blueberries are ready for picking
July 19th, 2010It is SO hot here in New Hampshire these days. When I got home from work on Saturday (I am a nurse) I decided to go blueberry picking. It is a great crop this year. I made some blueberry crisp for dessert…(so easy and so good). The best thing was on Sunday eating the COLD blueberry crisp…try it. It’s wonderful.
AND we are off!
July 12th, 2010Just back from a beautiful vacation on Cape Cod! Sun, beach, lobsters, cook-outs and family! What could be better??? Did a little Village Mixes taste testing..and found some really interesting recipes we are going to begin to work with…..
Great to hear from everyone about our new site!!
June 30th, 2010Our reps( Ann and Nancy) arrive home from NYC tired and safe. Both felt it was a great show for us….with lots of potential new business…..and seeing a lot of our loyal customers come by just to say “hi”. It’s nice to see our customers and you realize all the effort you put into good customer service is paid back 100% percent when that customer approaches you and warmly says “hello and nice to see you”. And the the laughing begins because Ann and Nancy are such PEOPLE MAGNETS!!!! Those of you who know them know what I am talking about. Hope everyone had a good day today!
Had a good first day at the Fancy Food Show,
June 28th, 2010Ann and Nancy are in NYC at the show. I am sadly at home missing the fun and networking! Oh well. I spoke with Nancy on the phone last night. She was very excited..made some great contacts for Village Mixes..and it seems like a very good show so far. I gave them blogging instructions but not sure why they didn’t try it yet. You know us prime of life people (50 or so in age) are a little nervous about all the new technology..it’s a little intimidating but we will get it!
Hope any new or returning customers are finding the site easy to manage! Keep me posted. Yesterday I made Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Pancakes Mix to ship out today. Our Pancake flavors are becoming famous!
We are finally here!!!!
June 27th, 2010Wow what a day! Our site is up and running…(although the wholesale ordering section needs some tweeking before it goes live). I often stop and wonder how lucky are we…3 women who have grown Village Mixes to it’s present level of success, being at the Fancy Food Show and having FUN! Hopefully Ann and
Nancy will be bloging news about their experience at the show!
Ann, Nancy and I
June 22nd, 2010Have been so busy brainstorming with our new line of EVERYDAY Mixes. Keeping up with food trends is difficult especially in this tough economic time. Our goal is to provide busy families with mixes that fit into their everyday eating habits without breaking the bank. This is especially tough for small business…and we are passionate about meeting this goal!
Hello world!!!
June 16th, 2010Lots of exciting things happening in Village Mixes these days! A new website…the Fancy Food Show….and a new line of products. keep in touch and we’ll keep you posted!
